Antoine Edouard Joseph Moulinet (1833 - 1891)
Born in Olouzac, France on February 25, 1833. With an early interest in painting, he traveled to Paris and entered the atelier of Gleyre at l’Ecole des Beaux-Arts in 1858. It was here that he perfected his talent for figurative painting and also showed an interest in still lives. He made his debut at the Salon in 1859 and continued to exhibit there throughout his career. Among the works he displayed were: Conciliabule (1879); Le Gué (1882); Deux Amateurs (1883); Le Coup de Collier (1885); and Partie de Billes (1888).
